The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is part of the county's pediatric care under Division County Hospital Care 1. We work with children and young people up to 18 years with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions. Ward 40D has six beds. The workgroup consists of psychologists, doctors (chief physician), social workers/psychotherapists, nurses, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Interventions are carried out according to HSL and LPT. The outpatient care in Piteå is a cross-professional team consisting of psychotherapists, CBT therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, doctors, nurses, care coordinators, and administrative staff.

We are looking for

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. It is an advantage if you have DBT competence, have previously worked with children and adolescents, and have experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful or pressuring situations. You value and see the benefits of collaboration with others. You act, express yourself, and make decisions in a considerate and thoughtful manner. You lead, motivate, and empower others to effectively achieve common goals.

This is what you will work with

As a psychologist, you have the opportunity to meet children, adolescents, and their families based on your specific competence. In inpatient care, your work includes assessment interviews, suicide risk assessments, and admissions and discharges, either individually or together with the team. You contribute your psychological expertise in rounds and other forums together with colleagues and have a consultative role. Collaboration with other actors in the patient's network is part of the work.

Your assignment in outpatient care means that you strengthen the team with your psychological and developmental psychological knowledge, which is highly sought after in the team. You primarily work with assessments, differential diagnostic considerations, and have a consultative role.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime. Start date by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.

The position is within pediatric care: We apply a background check before the decision on employment according to the provisions of the law (2013:852) on background checks of persons who will work with children.
